What types of programs are offered?

  • Parkinson's Disease Specific Exercise Programs

PWR!Moves® Certified Instructors are Parkinson’s disease-specialized exercise professionals who integrate PD-specific functional skills training into a multi-component personal training program.

PWR!Moves® “make function exercise” to keep you moving and doing more of what you want to do! As you practice, you will be challenged physically and cognitively while working on fitness goals: strength, balance, agility, aerobics, and flexibility. Exercises are designed to improve your fitness, counteract your PD symptoms and increase your daily activity. This whole body, function-focused exercise class will push you to do more than you think you can!

  • Personal Training

One on one fitness training in a small, private gym setting. Training is also offered off-site for an additional charge.

Clients receive individualized training programs based on their goals, fitness levels and needs that are identified during an initial consultation. Common goals are improved flexibility, posture, strength, balance, agility, and endurance. All these skills are prioritized to empower the client to maximize their health and participation in life.

  • Hike-Fit

Join me for outdoors fitness hikes in scenic areas around RI. We will incorporate hiking specific exercises into the tramp through nature- targeting those muscles you will need for keeping your knees and joints healthy along rough trails and climbing those steeper terrains. Let’s not forget your core! The core is so important for balance and back health – especially when carrying a heavy pack!

Visit the Events page to find a Hike to ” Fit” your needs!

  • Small Group Training

    For 2-3 clients with similar
goals and fitness levels. Bring a friend or family member! Exercise is always more fun with a friend!

Research supports the importance of peer support for successfully committing to a fitness program.

Grab a partner and start maximizing your health with physical activity!
